English: Note: I rewrote the book’s original English translation to make it smoother. In line 5, I used the word “eyesies” to try to convey the same sense that the original Japanese does. Kyo uses the word “omeme,” which is baby-talk for eyes. We don’t really have a standard baby-talk word for eyes, but I think “eyesies” gets the point across: it’s as out-of-place in the English as it is in the original Japanese, especially in a line suggesting the reader lick/taste it with the tip of their tongue.
